Carl G. Sample, aged twenty-three year, son of W. L. Sample, a well known farmer of Russell county whose home is near Honaker, died yesterday morning at 6:30 o'clock at the Bluefield Sanitarium. Mr. Sample was brought to the city about a week ago for an operation for intestinal obstruction. His condition was extremely critical upon his arrival here, and the physicians had but little hope for his recovery. The deceased is survived by a widow, one daughter and five brothers. The remains were taken to Honaker yesterday afternoon for burial.-Thursday, Bluefield Telegraph.
