June 14, 1907 CLOUDBURST IN RUSSELL. Houses and Property Destroyed Near Finney’s Siding.
The 6:51 East bound train last evening was six hours late, due to a big cloud burst down the Clinch. Dwelling houses were washed away at Finney and at St. Paul, and a nuuber of bridges are gone in Russell county and havock made generally. No lives lost so far as reported. A man ran three miles ahead of the flood and notified the people. Details meager.
