Ray Barrett expects to leave this week for Ohio.

Mrs. Thomas Wyatt is visiting relatives at Pulaski.

Mrs. W. H. Call, who has dropsy, we are sorry to say, is no better.

J. B. Belcher, lumber inspector of this place is at home this week.

A. J. Herndon has sold his farm on Kents Ridge and will move to Ohio.

Geo. Robinson, of Chehalis, Wash., is visiting his mother here this week.

Miss Myrtle Helton is visiting her brother, W. F. Helton, at Jed, W. Va.

Misses Nannie and Bonnie Boyd are spending this week with Mrs. Mallie Farror.

Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Oney, of Wardell, Va., are spending this week with Mrs. Mansfield.

Luther Gibson expects to start to Roanoke Saturday where he will enter a business college.

Mrs, L. B. Wyatt spent from Thursday till Sunday with her daughter, Mrs. Sample, at Dante, Va.

Robt. Vaught, who has been confined to his room for sometime with typhoid fever, is some better.

Miss Delpha Hubbard, of Hansonville, spent last week with her sister, Mrs. Arthur Miller, at this place.

Miss Clara Aston, of Honaker, expects to start to Lynchburg September 7th where she will enter school.
