Lebanon, Va., Feb. 13.

C. H. Gilmer was in town yesterday.

J. W. Hix, of Roanoke, was a visitor to Lebanon this week.

Attorney F. M. Kelly is out of town this week on legal business.

Miss Nannie Easterly, who has been sick for the past week, is improving.

Mrs. S. W. Aston will entertain at a Valentine party on tomorrow evening.

Mrs. D. S. Hearon, of Elk Garden, is the house guest of Mrs. C. C. Beavers.

Plans are being made for the erection of a new Methodist church at this place.

Mrs. T. B. Lynch was hostess to the Priscilla Club this week. A delightful ice course was served.

The lecture, the last of the Lyceum numbers of the season, by H. W. Sears, was enjoyed by a large audience Monday evening.

The old time spelling bee which was engaged in last week by the older citizens of the town will be repeated this week. The contest this time being between the ladies and gentlemen.
