Lebanon, Va., March 20th.

Nathan Easterly of this place made a business trip to Tazewell one day last week.

Miss Frances Young is seriously in this week, threatened with an attack of pneumonia.

Miss Ada Alderson has returned to her home here after a visit to friends in Knoxville. Tenn.

Attorney Henry A. Routh has been attending court in Dickenson county for several days, engaged in the prosecution of a murder case.

Hobart Sutherland, who was injured severely recently by a fall on the pavement here while skating, has recovered sufficiently to return to his home in the country.

The Democratic executive committee of Russell county have called a convention to be held at Lebanon on the eighth day of April to nominate candidates for the November election.

The Board of Supervisors held a meeting here on Saturday, the principal object of which was to arrange for the sale of the bonds recently voted for the building of good roads.

The Republicans held a district meeting here on the 11th and chose delegates to the county convention to be held at Honaker on April 1st, when nominations for county offices will be made.
