DESTROYED BY FIRE.

Swords Creek Hotel Thought to Have Been Fired by Lightning.

The hotel at Swords Creek, Va., owned and operated by Beau Smith, was completely destroyed by fire early yesterday morning. While complete details of the fire were not obtainable it was reported here last evening by passengers arriving on the Clinch Valley train that there was but little if anything saved from the building before it was consumed by fire, which was first discovered on the roof of the hotel and which is thought to have started from a flash of lightning. The hotel for a number of years was owned by B. J. Wysor and has been a popular stopping place for the many salesmen that travel that territory. The loss will probably exceed $6,000.
