W. H. Clay, of Castlewood, was a visitor here last week.

Miss Eula Hurt, who has been very ill with pneumonia, is somewhat better.

Bailey Jackson was visiting relatives in the upper end of the county last week.

Miss Sally Lynch has been visiting friends and relatives here for the past week.

The Priscille Club of Lebanon was entertained last week by Miss Don Shuler.

Attorney E. S. Finney, who has been attending court in Buchanan county, has returned home.

Palmer Ratcliff, who shot Bill Aston in a row April 23rd, was captured and lodged in jail last week.

Prof. H. C. Fugate, superintendent of schools for Russell county, held examinations here last week.

Silas Owens, who shot and killed Elmer Grizzle, was said to be in the wicinity of Lebanon last week.

C. C. Burns, who had been attending court at Grundy for the past ten days, has returned to his home here.

Mrs. J. J. Payne, who has been visiting friends and relatives in West Virginia, returned home last week.

Judge Wm. E. Burns, who has been holding court in Buchanan county for the past two weeks, returned to his home here last week.
